The merino cap and booties from New Zealand brand Little Flock ofHorrors are a key piece of clothing for any newborn, especially when made from ultra-soft merino wool. Merino wool is not only extremely soft and comfortable, but it can also naturally regulate body temperature, making it ideal for young children who can't yet warm or cool themselves effectively.
This merino set is made of 100% merino wool with a density of 200gsm, in in the context of merino wool, this value is considered a medium-weight, which is suitable for most climatic conditions and year-round use. The 18.5 micron fibre size ensures lightness, breathability and exceptional softness.
100% super soft merino wool guarantees maximum comfort and thermal comfort. Merino wool is hypoallergenic and resistant to bacteria, so you don't have to worry about your baby's sensitive skin.
How to care for merino?
We always recommend washing clothes in a suitable wool detergent before first use. Especially if you choose a detergent with lanolin, the clothes are immediately softer and do not bite. When washing clothes for the first time, wash them separately or with similarly coloured garments, as the colour may be released, causing staining of otherwise coloured clothes.
Clothes can be machine washed using the wool programme at 30°C. Use only wool detergent and wash the garment inside out. Never add fabric softener or bleach to your washing machine, which can damage your favourite clothes. Do not use a dryerhang the laundry out to dry. This care will keep your garment in beautiful condition.
S do not delay in removing the more noticeable stains, we recommend pre-washing as soon as possible using bile soap in cold water.
Merino wool is a very fine natural material and its durability is affected by the way and intensity of use. Merino by Little Flock of Horrors has no treatment and thus retains the maximum of its natural properties. Clothes need to be washed really gently. On 100% natural material without chlorine or polymer treatments may tend to make fluff on stressed areas.
