How to care for merino?
We always recommend washing the blanket in a suitable wool detergent before first use. Especially if you choose a detergent with lanolin, the blanket is immediately softer and does not bite. When washing clothes for the first time, wash them separately or with similarly coloured garments, as the colour may be released, causing staining of otherwise coloured clothes.
The merino blanket can be machine washed using the wool programme at 30°C. Use only wool detergent. Never add fabric softener or bleach to the washing machine, which can damage the blanket. Do not use the dryer, unroll the blanket and let it dry. Suitable wool care products can be found here.
Do not delay the removal of more significant stains, we recommend pre-washing as soon as possible using bile soap in cold water.
Merino wool is a very fine natural material and its durability is affected by the way and intensity of use.
