Why have we been so enchanted by the combination of merino wool and cotton in children's functional clothing?
With this high-quality blend of organic fibres (60% merino wool/40% cotton), Cosilana has perfectly combined the great properties of these materials. Virgin merino wool offers the highest wearing comfort thanks to its special properties such as perfect thermoregulation. As a result, merino wool requires very sensitive handling.
Cotton gives children's clothing better durability and shape stability. The special structure of the wool fibre creates a very good body climate. The cotton supports the air layer and creates a kind of heat reservoir. It also releases moisture into the wool, through which the moisture then evaporates.
Cosilana's cotton is sourced from controlled, organic farming from worldwide projects (CERES, ECOCERT or Control Union Certifications). The Cosilana brand does not use any toxic substances in its cultivation, harvesting or processing.
MAINTENANCE
It is advisable to wash these clothes as little as possible to make the most of the self-cleaning properties of merino. Hand wash is recommended but can be machine washed using the wool programme at 30°C. Use only wool detergent and wash the garment inside out. Never add fabric softener or bleach to your washing machine, which can damage your favourite clothes. Do not use a dryerhang the laundry out to dry.This care will keep your garment in beautiful condition.
