To prevent this, so-called mulesing is carried out on them. It is an intervention that is painful for the sheep. Merino wool without mulesing comes only from sheep that have not undergone this procedure. How to care for merino?

We always recommend washing clothes in a suitable wool detergent before first use. Especially if you choose a detergent with lanolin, the clothes are immediately softer and do not bite. When washing clothes for the first time, wash them separately or with similarly coloured garments, as the colour may be released, causing staining of otherwise coloured clothes.

Clothes can be washed in the washing machine using the wool programme at 30°C. Use only wool detergent and wash the garment inside out. Never add fabric softener or bleach to your washing machine, which can damage your favourite clothes. Do not use the dryer, hang the clothes out to dry. This care will keep your garment in beautiful condition.

Do not delay the removal of more significant stains, we recommend pre-washing as soon as possible using bile soap in cold water.

WHICH CAP SIZE TO CHOOSE?

When buying merino caps for children, the option is to be guided by the age indicated by the supplier. This is timely and correct in most cases. Then, of course, there are always exceptions when the child has a bigger or smaller head.

Therefore, we recommend measuring the child's head circumference. Measure the middle of the forehead and around the head to get the circumference at the widest point. When a few fingers get below the edge, jet it the right measure.
